We all know what WhatsApp is and we all wanted this marvelous app to chat/communicate with other friends over 2G or WiFi on our low-cost Nokia smart phones and save some SMS charges.

Nokia announced WhatsApp was coming for new Asha smart phones and today they delivered it for first of Asha OS Nokia Asha 501 too. “You asked, we listened. WhatsApp is now available for #Asha501!” Users of Asha 501 can install WhatsApp from their store after updating the software first.

After announcement of new Nokia phones, the time of launching are nearing. Nokia Asha 502 and 503 should come around next month (End of November or Start of December) and Asha 500 shortly after.

To show the new experiences latest range of Nokia Asha are offering in their full touch screen low-cost almost-smart phones to people, Nokia released several short videos. These videos will give you a closer look of faster Fastlane, improved Camera controls and more Apps available for Asha smart phones.
