Should I buy Nokia N8 or Nokia E7 in 2013?
Should I buy Nokia N8 or Nokia E7 in
2013?
It's a question I answered several times now and hearing very often around me because with introduction
of new Nokia mobile phones from basic to advance to very innovative smartphones
this year, prices of Nokia's legendary N8 with one-of-a-kind 12mp camera phone
and Nokia's well known business series E7, a slider qwerty with large 4inch
screen smartphone comes down even more and become more attractive to the people
wanting this to happen from some time. I know because they have been asking me
too.
Please note
that we are talking about Nokia Symbian based Smartphones at the moment, which are
affordable and more suitable for Pakistani market.
The prices
are low and these smartohones Nokia N8 and Nokia E7 still got many good things
going on. But should you buy one now today? If you are interested in either N8
or E7 and ask me, I will not recommend them any more unless you are absolutely
sure why and what you are getting. If you have extra amount to spear then I
suggest you to know Nokia 701 or Nokia 808 or even Nokia 603 first. Here is
why.
Nokia N8
and E7 are still very capable smartphones for you if you are an average
smartphone user, a student or really interested in the strong hold of these two
handsets then these smartphones.
N8 or E7
can take care of your simple day to day tasks, texting, call, skype,
photography, entertainment, light Internet surfing, basic apps, movies, music,
games and socializing without much trouble at all, I am an N8 user and I can
tell you from my own experience. .
Then Why Not?
Just keep
in mind these devices are aged and might take a hiccup at some moment during
surfing a very heavy website, playing very advance game or running big app or
several apps together. There has been a lot happened since era of N8 and E7 and
if high quality gaming, new fancy app and/or doing heavy surfing is your thing;
you might want to stay clear from these two.
Some times
the low memory causes some unexpected behavior too.
Many new
apps, especially some essential apps from Microsoft require better processor
and ram to work smoothly.
Why Nokia E7
There is
literally no alternate to Nokia E7 because of beautiful 4inch screen and full
qwerty hardware keyboard it offers. Only let down is the memory.
If you
absolutely want a hardware keyboard, big screen, premium build quality, a
capable smartphone functionality and Nokia brand then E7 is for you.
Why Nokia N8
The camera
used in N8 is not just any 12mp mobile camera, it is one of the super best you
can get for this price. Xenon flash is icing on top of very delicious cake.
If you
absolutely want a master mobile camera, gorgeous 3.5inch screen, unbreakable
premium build quality, a very capable smartphone function pack, perfect enough
for your hand and for pocket and Nokia brand, N8 is for you.
Best Alternates to N8 and E7
Best alternate
to Nokia N8 is Nokia 808. If great camera is not your stronger desire, or it is
still out of range and you like speed and good specs then again look for Nokia
701. You will still get a good camera result and every thing else too.
And like I
said before there is literally no alternate to E7 so if you let go of hardware
keyboard Nokia 701 is perfect fit. And if you really want hardware qwerty but
can live without larger screen, Nokia E6 (E72/Blackberry-ish) with touch screen
and hardware keyboard will do you good but it is on the lower side of specs.
Why Nokia 701?
You see, I
am recommending Nokia 701 for either N8 or E7. 701 is the best Symbian^3
smartphone you can get after Nokia 808. There is also Nokia 603, almost same as
701 and cheaper in price but 701 has few advantages over 603.
